ABOUT KEVIN

Kevin is a published playwright who has had more than fifty productions in New York, London and around the world. Most recently, his musical Up and Away premiered at Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret Theater where it enjoyed a remarkable 16 week run. Previously, he and composer Charles Miller had a successful run of their musical When Midnight Strikes at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in London, where it played to rave reviews, and was nominated for an Off-West End award for Best Musical (original cast recording available on iTunes).

 

Other musicals written with Charles Miller include Brenda Bly: Teen Detective, which received critical acclaim at London's Bridewell Theatre, and was published by Samuel French. To date, Brenda Bly has solved her case across the globe, including London, Chicago, Malta, Germany, Ireland, Minnesota and New Jersey.

 

In addition their musicals When Midnight Strikes, No One In The WorldHope and Mr. Christmas have been published by Rodgers & Hammerstein publishing. Musicals created for and produced by the London School of Musical Theatre include RSVP ASAP, Fabula and No One In The World.

 

In New York, his musical Kiss and Make Up sold to packed houses at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre. Other musicals include Men: The Musical! (New York and Edinburgh Festival), Write For Me and Castles.

In New York, Kevin and composer Kristin Bair had their work presented at the New York Musical Festival as a part of Prospect Theater Company's The Great NYC Treasure Quest. Their newest musical Up and Away received a staged reading at Pittsburgh CLO's New Musical Weekend in 2017, and was chosen to be the flagship world premiere production as a part of their inaugural Spark Festival of New Works in 2018. 

 

Plays include Heads Up (New York and London productions), December Moon, Piece of Cake (New York and London productions), and Game Night.

 

Recordings of his lyrics can be found on Julie Atherton's first solo CD A Girl of Few Words, Mark Joseph’s CD Clear Blue Sky, Gemma Atkins’ CD Yesterday Today Tomorrow, the original London cast recording of When Midnight Strikes, and most recently released, It’s Just The Beginning: The Songs of Miller and Hammonds.

 

Kevin is a proud Active Member of The Dramatist Guild and a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Advanced Workshop.
