You are cordially invited to the wedding from hell during the most outrageous decade of our time, the 70's. Haydon and Martine appear to be the perfect couple, but when Haydon's best man Denny proclaims his true love towards the groom, Haydon returns the affection, and decides he can't go through with the wedding. Coincidentally, Martine confesses to her bridesmaids that she only fell for Haydon in an unsuccessful attempt to get over her ex, Syd. Although both bride and groom want desperately to call it quits, neither of them want to disappoint their family, and set forth absurd attempts to force the other to call off the wedding.
